The fastest way to make more money in your painting business is the learn how to how to find more jobs and bigger and better jobs and how to estimate them for maximum profits.

I bid on painting jobs for years and made some good money but nothing as good as when I learned how to accurately estimate them correctly and not guesstimate.

The second way to make more money is to get more jobs at a faster rate. And bigger jobs too like doing commercial jobs.

The third way is to add on extra painting services. Services like staining. This way you don’t have to keep looking for new customers as much. Your existing customers can keep you busy more often when you have extra services.

The fourth way to make more money in your painting business would be to hire help. It can be employees, or sub-contractors, or a combination of both.

There is a lot of good painters out there who are not interested in running a painting business. They just want a steady income and will work for your company for years and do a good job.

The fifth way would be to do jobs that offer repeat business, maybe even residual income like scheduled maintenance accounts. Places like hospitals for example. Hospitals always need to keep up their maintenance and appearance.

And then there is commercial painting jobs and even industrial jobs. I have made my best money doing commercial jobs. There is a ton of painting to be done in the commercial realm.

There is also doing insurance jobs. These can be big money. And insurance companies have deep pockets. They are loaded with money and will gladly pay you to help them keep their paying customers satisfied. I know of one painter that made $1,000 in just one 8-hr day doing a small fire restoration job.

All he had to do was seal up everything to cover the smoke smell in someone’s garage from a small fire.

There is also new construction painting jobs. If you get in good with a builder or two, the money can be good for years to come.

And don’t forget paid advertising. Advertising doesn’t cost, it pays!
