A while back, some videos showed these young guys converting an Electra Glide from a gas V-Twin engine to an electric motorcycle complete with belt-drive.
The bike is cool because it looks like a Harley – NOT an electric motorcycle. Wouldn’t it be cool if Milwaukee electric motors were used in some of Harley-Davidson’s large street bikes?
A real H-D Milwaukee Iron horse motorcycle (that was made in Milwaukee, WI, with an electric motor made right there in Milwaukee as well!)
Years ago, I worked in a paper mill that had huge industrial electric motors that had the name “Milwaukee” forged right into the side of the casings, complete with a lightning bolt right underneath their name!
Picture an electric Milwaukee motor installed on a Harley complete with the Milwaukee name and the iconic Milwaukee lightning bolt under their name forged right into the motor casing in raised white letters!
This could mean “extreme pride of ownership” for a new Harley-Davidson bike owner! And the bike is lightning fast and gets 300 miles between charges because of Elon Musk’s new aluminum batteries could be incorporated …
Of course, some of us still love our gas V-Twins.
